terms used in the xerus galaxy
Dark Market – A marketer illegal trade used in the Outlier Rim to subvert the Galaxy Credit Commission.
Galaxy Credit Commission (or GCC) – The commission in charge of the galaxy’s currency and credits or creds.
kelori – A toxic plant on Cerlia. Creates a hazy effect that leaves the dosed susceptible to influence.
Moons of Elysi – A fabled location in stories about the faein, which are creatures that live on the moons and grant wishes when caught.
Nexus – The central hub of the Rising. Location hidden but resides on Link.
oris – Old-world, genetically modified soldiers that gained sentience and escaped.
Phenomena – A well-known traveling circus.
the Rising – The union of rebellious planets and people groups who are against the Rule of Gravless in the Xerus galaxy. Their motto is “Stand strong. Live free.”
vé - A natural material that creates energy pathways as part of its organic makeup
Wraxian Wrestling Mania – A galaxy-wide wrestling organization that has its own vid channel and a devoted fan base. The top wrestlers are: Manic, CharChar (who uses Margaux flowy fighting style), Jaws, and Buzz.
Xerus Trade Convention (or XTC) – An accord regarding how trade will be conducted in the Xerus galaxy. They exact taxes on goods and other saleable items within the galaxy.
Zerias Crystals – Valuable crystals mined from deep pits on the planet Zerias in the Torren system.
Planets and Specific Planetary Terms
This list is unique to the Xerus Galaxy Saga.
cerlia
Located in the Verna System, Cerlia is the seat of the High House and the ruling Gravless family.
Charlax Mountains – A range of mountains just outside of Kallus.
dusk mint – A fragrant plant with a sweet and mint-spicy scent at dusk; grows along the wild shores of the Iya Ocean.
Etix School – An elite school where the wealthy from Xerus send their children. There are special allocations for those with abilities.
High Council – A ruling body, consisting of elected members of Xerus’s most notable planets. Members are typically the chosen ruler of each planet, but sometimes an elected official (depending on the planet’s governing body). The ruling Gravless is the head of this council.
High House – Consists of the ruling Gravless family and their close relatives.
Kallus – Capital city of Cerlia.
Rule of Gravless – Rule instated centuries ago that stated Xerus would be ruled by a governing council led by a Gravless queen.
senolia – A poisonous plant native to Cerlia that carries a bitter scent and can cause death if ingested.
Soldar Desert – Desert expanse in the southern hemisphere of Cerlia.
tark – A tiny lizard-like creature found in the desert. Excellent at hiding in the sand.
abilities
gravless – Someone with the ability to control/manipulate gravity.lingous – The ability to coerce action and intention with words.
murious – The ability to create a protective shield around others.
phaseus – Someone with the ability to pass through solid objects. seer – Someone with the ability to see future events. The strength of this ability varies from murky to clear visions, though most are not always completely accurate.
vizious – Someone with the ability to turn invisible.

Drawx
A sizeable planet, the largest in the Torren System, governed by Mè Volur Tai.
Amora stew – A stew made from leafy greens, root vegetables, and local fish from the Amora region on Drawx.
Balaxon gangs – Tough gangs made up of kidnapped or orphaned children and teens that rule the lower-class areas of Drawx by fear and number.
busū – A medium to large sized, muscled animal with thick, gray fur, fanged teeth, and horns. Native to the Solax Mountains on Drawx.
corcha soup – A spicy soup with chunks of corcha fish.
Drawx Sunrise – A syrupy sweet drink made of the pressed liquid of Drawx melons (similar to honeydew), orange juice, and cherry syrup with a splash of club soda. Fizzy and delicious.
Elite – A specially trained and extremely dangerous Drawxian soldier.
flaxon blossoms – a fragrant, yet deadly, flower found on Drawx.
javi ball – A game similar to tennis but with three balls. Two players are on each side. One of the balls varies the speed at which it flies each time it’s hit, one ball is extremely slow, and the last ball explodes after being hit five times, so you have to time your hits. The object is to land balls on the opposite court by the sound of the timer.
Lè – The term for princess on Drawx.
Le’è – The added è to Lè implies an intimate, but respectful, connection to a royal on Drawx.
Mè – The term for king on Drawx.
Nè – The term for queen on Drawx.
nax – A nine-sided Drawxian dice game.
Pinnacle Point – The highest peak on Drawx.
rezzian fern – A native Drawxian plant whose blossoms, if they make physical contact, can cause numbness to the affected area for up to four hours.
Sè – The term for prince on Drawx.
Se’è – The added è to Sè implies an intimate, but respectful, connection to a royal on Drawx.
Solax Festival – A Drawxian festival held at the foot of the Solax Mountains where they celebrate the change of season to cooler weather with games, food, and fireworks. Solax Mountains – Largest mountain range on the capital continent in northern Drawx.

A planet on the edge of the Torren System.
suchenza – A term of endearment.
hexalia
A cold planet on the edge of the Verna System.
Hex – Ore used in source machines and only found on Hexalia.
lexia plant – A glowing plant used for tattoos on the natives of Hexalia.
ina
A race of peaceful people located in the Volix Galaxy connected to Xerus by the Ix gate.
valnix – A legendary creature with thick legs, a leathery type of skin that extends to wings, that has an iridescent sheen to it with a beaked mouth and covering of fluffy, shimmering feathers around its head. Can turn invisible.

meloran
A warm and humid planet in the Verna System that is made up mostly of water.
a time – A phrase used to signify one hour on planet.
Aquis – A Meloran god of the sea said to be handsome.
“bless the journey beyond” – A phrase of blessing for the dead.
callias – White flowers with magenta centers, native to Meloran.
Cultural Status –
- Melorite (like gold) - premier
- Tolnco (like white gold) - middle-premier
- Shiorite (like silver-) - middle
- Platino (like nickel) - low-middle
- Rustorite (like rust) - low
- Verdo (like oxidized copper-greenish) - no caste
exterior skyport – The port used to go off planet from the surface.
gusha – Local fish with sweet, flaky white flesh that makes up a large export.
half a time – Used to signify thirty minutes on planet.
hub – An underwater spaceport used by most Melorans to go off planet.
Meloran perfume – A sweet, heady, and tropical scent made from callias.
ming berries – Berries that are deep burgundy in color with a syrupy sweet taste.
Murel – Capital city of Meloran’s southern hemisphere.
N’Hala Seal (or N-Hal) – A special type of portal made for water transport.
rayfins – A type of long ship that maneuvers like an eel through water.
sea ship – Underwater ships on Meloran.
sequent – Cycles on the Meloran planet are measured in Sequents. They equal approximately three of Old Earth’s years.
Shell – A small, semi-sentient device used for navigation and access to the portnet that is inserted into the ear and connects to a bio-patch attached to the skin. Powered by the body’s electrical current.
skyers – A name for anyone from space.
skyship – A name for any ship that is air bound.
surface to skyport – A port on Meloran that offers a shuttle to the spaceport.
neba
Sand-pit planet with aquifers under the surface as the main source of water. Consists of a dual class system of Uppers and Lowers with no distinct middle class. Uppers control the highly corrupt government loyal to King Praxin.
cavoora – A staple bread eaten by the Lowers.
cheewa – A desert animal with a hard shell and four stout legs that thrives on Neba.
Desolate Sector or D-Sec – An area on the edge of town in the foothills of the Druin where Lowers congregate.
Druin Mountains – Red dune mountains that edge the city of Lyssa.
dustbike – A motorbike suited best for sandy terrain.
Lower – Anyone unable to afford prime housing, clothing, or other prized necessities in Neba.
Lyssa – Capital city of Neba.
Ncc – (pronounced like “nick”) Nebian Currency Chip, Neba’s local money.
nolith – A large creature with four legs and a long neck that roams the desert. Used for transportation by desert people.
Partuk – Extinct city near Lyssa, but across the desert, on Neba.
pompas fruit – A sweet, juicy fruit with bright green and magenta spines that must be peeled correctly to be consumed.
sandmask – Protective wear for those who live and work in the deserts on Neba.
soldeka – A colorful tile game.
tops – Slang for “good” or “the best.”
twip – A children’s card game.
Upper – Those holding the most wealth on Neba.
uulk – Dangerous desert animal with four legs, hard scales, sharp teeth, and ranging up to a meter and a half long. Its bite is poisonous.
outlier rim
The area at the edge of the Xerus Galaxy outside the rule of Verna and Torren that functions with its own law.
Outlier Rim Association (or ORA) – An association of Rimmers that “govern” the Rim with loose rules versus actual laws.
ORim ship – A ship used to navigate the Outlier Rim. Each has a special code so other Rimmers can recognize one another other for trade purposes.
Rimmer – Anyone who lives on the Outlier Rim. They tend to buck society and be against monarchy. Sometimes referred to as “rim-trash” by the more centralized planets. RimRunner – A smuggler who transports illegal or banned goods into the Xerus systems.
voli – An alcoholic drink enjoyed by Rimmers for its cheap production and high alcohol content.
trona
A warm planet second closest to the Verna Sun. Though small, its shielded atmosphere creates a livable planet and facilitates a higher gravity despite being a smaller planet.
C6 – Trona’s largest city near its equator. Rests upon a vast ocean and consists of giant building “blocks” connected by roadways.
